Arlington recommends that you inspect used equipment before you purchase.  Plastics processing machinery is an investment.  It is important to know exactly what you are buying when making a substantial investment.   Inspecting equipment at a dealer prior to purchase helps avoid any surprises that could impact production, allows you to examine the equipment's strengths and weaknesses, and look at alternatives and ancillary equipment.

Arlington makes inspections easy.  Our warehouse is located 15 minutes from Chicago's O'Hare Airport.  We can pick you up, facilitate the inspection and return you to the airport. This saves you the time and cost of an overnight stay, rental cars or taxis.

If during the inspection process you find a problem with the machine, it doesn't necessarily mean you shouldn't buy it. It let's you know in advance exactly what you are purchasing and investigate what repairs will cost to do in-house or have us complete.

If photos show the machine in good condition, an inspection is always suggested, but a backup could be a video of the machine running.  Arlington's machine shop regularly test runs all kinds of plastics related equipment and videos them for our customers.

The inspection process is an important one for buying used equipment.  People rarely buy something as simple as a used car without an inspection and we recommend you do the same for your used plastics equipment.
