In the category of Sheet Dies we have our traditional sheet dies as well as our cast film dies, extrusion coating and laminating dies. Dies can either be single-layer or multi-layer.  A single-layer die is simplest die for sheet.  A sheet die follows an extruder, screen changer or melt pump in a sheet extrusion line. The die is used to form the width and thickness of the sheet by forcing the melted plastic through a wide narrow gap. Flexlip dies allow the thickness and width of the die to be adjusted when necessary instead of switching out the die to make a different product. Popular brands of sheet dies include OMV, Cloeren, EDI, Nordson.
