Haas Automation was founded in 1983 manufacturing the first automatic programmable collet indexer.  In 1988, Haas Automation introduced the first American built vertical machining center, the VF-1.

Since then Haas has been manufacturing complete lines of CNC vertical machining centers, horizontal machining centers, CNC lathes and rotary products for the metalworking and machine tool industry.

Haas Automation manufactures the largest selection of mills including VF and VR Series vertical mills, 5-axis, 4-axis, 3-axis and 2-axis mills, compact mills and mini mills.  Haas is also known for their ST series, dual-spindle and toolroom lathes, and a variety of rotary tables and indexers.
