the densifier cutting chamber is constructed of 3/8" thick, wear-resistant steel. the cutting chamber is 40" in diameter and 60" tall. the bottom of the cutting chamber is constructed of 1" solid steel plate for additional structural integrity. Ten replaceable bed knifes are incorporated into the cutting chamber with one rotating knife. the rotating knife is directly coupled to a 250 Horsepower AC TEFC Motor(480/3/60). the bottom seal of the shaft is a special design to prevent leakage and entry of water to the motor.
the densifier cutting chamber has forklift gussets incorporated into the design for easy maintenance. the pneumatic discharge is 44" from the floor to allow for discharge directly into a Gaylord box. the support legs are constructed from heavy structural steel and welded to a 3/4" solid steel plate. the 3/4" steel plate has provisions for bolting the densifier to the foundation. the control panel is a Nema 12 cabinet with a main circuit breaker, 250 HP WEG soft starter, and a control transformer. the foot print of the MGB densifier is 54" x 72" with an infeed height if 10'.
