Gala Underwater Pelletizers and Pelletizing Systems are used to produce plastic pellets from recycled material or for compounding polymers. As the plastic is extruded from the extruder, it is cut underwater by the pelletizer head. As the pellet cools in the water, the pellet takes on an a round or elliptical shape; a typical strand pelletizing system would create a cylindrical shape for the pellet. The pellet is then separated from the water and then dried in a Gala Spin Dryer.
